Botox relaxes the muscles beneath the skin, which makes the lines they create less noticeable. It is used here for crow's feet, glabellar lines, marionette lines, wrinkles and sagging, and for the puckering that sometimes surrounds acne scars.
Compared with other procedures it is affordable, and the risk of side effects is minimal. The effect is temporary, so treatment is repeated periodically.
